Squad member

Stacey Jackson is the newest crewmember to join The Famous Project CIC, but the Australian brings an ocean of experience with her and will be one of the watch leaders onboard.

Stacey is an extremely accomplished offshore sailor, having competed in 2 editions of the Volvo Ocean Race (2014-15 with Team SCA and 2017-18 with Vestas 11th Hour Racing) and established herself as one of Australia’s finest sailors. She raced in 17 editions of Sydney Hobart races, including skippering an all-female team in 2018 placing second overall.

In 2025, she won the Admiral’s Cup with Yacht Club de Monaco.

Stacey loves surfing, skating and stand-up paddle boarding. In 2016, she founded a company that makes hand-made bags from recycled sails called Nauti Bags. In 2021 Jackson started a business running safety and survival at sea courses.

With a new crew, she won the 2013 World Championships.

She then switched classes to sail the new 49er FX. With Berta Betanzos she won the 2016 World Championships and finished 4th at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

After the Rio Games, Támara took a hiatus from Olympic sailing to compete in the 2017-18 Volvo Ocean Race on board Mapfre, finishing 2nd in the round-the-world race.

Back in the 49er FX, she won the 2020 World Championships with Paula Barceló and finished 4th in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

In 2024, for her 4th Olympics, Támara was named Spain’s flag bearer for the opening ceremony alongside Marcus Cooper Walz. She finished 12th in the 49er FX with Paula Barceló.
