Deborah started sailing in dinghies at an early age in Weymouth but quickly found that yacht sailing was more up her street. She did her first transatlantic at 17 years old before going to the University of Southampton so she could continue sailing alongside her studies. She has taken part in many offshore races and last year raced on The Austrian Ocean Racing VO65 in The Ocean Race Sprint Cup. She did the Caribbean 600 on the famous Project MOD 70 before doing the transatlantic delivery back to Europe. She has raced on a competitive Cape 31 in the Solent for her 4 years at university and recently finished her master’s degree in computer science.
